Murat Softa began his career in 2012 as an Assistant Tax Inspector at the Tax Inspection Board of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. Following the qualification examination in 2015, he served as a Tax Inspector.
Throughout his inspection career, he conducted audits of large taxpayers across numerous sectors, particularly manufacturing, construction, automotive, retail, software, banking and finance. At various times, he also served as an instructor in training programs for assistant tax inspectors and revenue experts.
From 2021 to 2022, he served as Deputy Head of the Istanbul Sectoral-1 Audit Department of the Tax Inspection Board, undertaking responsibilities for inspection assignments and monitoring inspection processes.
He was the founding president of the Association of Finance Inspection Personnel during the association-building initiative launched to organize and institutionalize professionally the tax inspectors who joined the Tax Inspection Board established in 2011.
He completed with honors both his master's studies in Fiscal Law, which he began at Istanbul University in 2017, and his law studies, which he began at Yalova University's Faculty of Law in 2018.
He holds the titles of Sworn-in CPA registered with the Istanbul Chamber of Sworn-in CPAs, Attorney registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, and Independent Auditor registered with Türkiye's Public Oversight Authority.
